Oskar Malek

Senior Developer

I was born and grew up in south-western Poland, near the border with the Germany. Computers and sport have been my passion throughout my life. I graduated from University School of Physical Education and also Computer Engineering with a specialization in e-business and Internet technology. My first opportunity to work abroad I went as a student to Mannheim, Germany. After graduation I worked as a PE and IT teacher. At the same time I was leading my own company similar to GRID Design’s profile.

I came to England in September 2010 and when I saw Bournemouth I loved it immediately and this is where I live and work and consider home.

I love the work which places new challenges and giving opportunities. GRID design fully meets those needs.

A few things you didn't know about me...

Q: Out of work, what do you get up to?

A: In addition to physical education and computers I have got a third passion - music. I listen to lots of music (Almost always with a strong sounds guitar) and I play the electric guitar. Free time I try to spend actively. Since childhood, two sports absorbed me completely – Taekwon-do which I have been training on since 1989. I also play volleyball on the team ‘Paars’ in the league in Bournemouth. I continue to train taekwon-do in several local clubs to a high level.

Q: What is your favourite holiday?

A: I love to travel, exploring new places, meeting new people, exploring local customs, foods and landscapes. I really enjoy both, mountains and sea locations and my perfect holiday would certainly be a physically active one.

Q: Best and worst bits about you?

A: I am a lightly stubborn which can be an interesting feature - good and bad at the same time. I strive patiently to reach my goals and never give up.

Q: Your ideal job would be if…

A: Any job that brings satisfaction with its performance. I always am striving to be better.

Q: Why GRID Design?

A: This job gives possibilities of development and a lot of satisfaction in my work. It's not only a just a job, but a meeting place with friends which is amazing. There is a great atmosphere and close, supportive team.

A: With friends from work ;-)! Anytime and with great pleasure!
